This map was produced by A.F. Rodgers for the U.S. Coast and Geodetic Survey in 1857 and was published in Washington DC.
It is part topographic shown by contours and spot heights. It labels prominent public buildings, wharves, streets, and military stations. Due to its use as a coast guard survey, the scale of this map is massive. It looks great at the large size but can be printed extra large as an incredible statement piece in any room.
